I am not concerned about how scholarly a writer Hugh Ross is. However, you haven't convinced me one iota that his creation ideas are unfounded. I have read other people's work who share similiarities in their creation hypothesis' and they may have additional information that Ross leaves out.
It neither bothers me that Ross' understanding of Hebrew is weak or that he gets every scientific fact correct to the letter. I never did respect Ross' understanding of Who and What God is since he follows every ridiculous Christian doctrine to the letter. However, I believe he offers a credible account of creation regarding the bible and known science.
Dan
P.S.
The ancient Hebrew and Greek languages were very limited in wording and even definition. For instance, there was no term for eternity or forever. Ross and every damn churchian thinks that aion should be translated to mean eternity or forever.

Pennsylvania v Dover |
Garner, Andrew |
Jun 13, 2008 |
Hello
I'm a UK resident and therefore I don't know anything about the legal system in America. Could you please tell me if the witnesses during the Tammy Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District swore an oath on the Bible before giving their evidence. I've tried searching the court transcripts but haven't been able to find the answer. I'm writing a small piece on the
trial (for my blogg, nothing heavy) and I'm curious to find out whether Buckingham and Bonsell swore on the Bible and then went on to lie to God! If they did lie after swearing on the Bible, what does that tell us about their respect for both the Bible and God!
I hope you can help me.
All the best
Andrew |

Forrest, Barbara |
Jun 12, 2008 |
Citizens for science friends,
Please post a link to the website of LA Coalition for Science, where we have issued a press release calling for the LA Senate to reject SB 733, the LA Science Education Act. They won't, of course, but we would like to draw attention to what is happening here.

Don't know if y'all have seen this. It's from a couple of Penn State political scientists.

Ken Miller's book review |
Prophet, Nathan |
May 08, 2008 |
Congratulations on a superb review in my humble opinion. A group of us at local university read Miller's book and discussed one or more chapter's for several weeks prior to Miller coming to speak at the university. Many of the points you address came out in our discussions. I like your "Yang and Yin" analysis.
My personal opinion is that Dr. Miller is desperately trying to find a way to justify the existence of God through science (quantum
indeterminacy), while trying to hold fast to his traditional Roman Catholic beliefs in light of his considerable knowledge of evolution and science in general. He cannot deny science, so he attempts to justify God through science, and he fails to do that.
Thanks for the great review.
Nathan Prophet.
