reason or un-reason? Horvath, Gabor Oct 14, 2006
Dear "Talk Reason"
Politics is not science. When you say you intend to defend "genuine science" from the "crop" (sic) of creationism you already prove that you use political gibberish. Evolutionism is anything but genuine science.

Tell me using real scientific approach what your idea is about the origin of universal regulators, that is the LAWS which are immutable and rule the whole physical world?

Did they "evolve"?
If yes tell me a hypothetical idea HOW it could happen.

If they did not "evolve", how come we have them?

Thanks and regards: Gabor

Moral law Mullenix, Dave Oct 17, 2006
From your review of Francis Collin's "The Language of God":

"He describes The Moral Law as 'the denunciation of oppression, murder, treachery, falsehood and the injunction of kindness (16), almsgiving (5), impartiality (15), and honesty (4)."

The existence of such a law would only surprise me if there was a group of people somewhere who enjoyed being oppressed, murdered, betrayed and lied to and who did not want to be treated with kindness, impartiality and honesty and maybe the occasional bit of alms.

Chesterton made the same error, as do many others who really should think this through.

Thanks for your blog,
Dave Mullenix

Absurd Beliefs Davison, W T Oct 14, 2006
Far too much attention is given to the abstract of religiosity, producing vast volumes of impotent rhetorical bombast from people who should know better; saturating themselves & others in trivial 'spiritual analyses' that are really, totally undeserving of any sincere contemplation.

Any thinking person realises that the Universe is truly an awesome Quantum / Astronomical creation. As part of that creation, our attempts at it's full understanding seem futile. Probing the Atom or 'Heavenly Space' & we're contemplating infinities.

Fouling up our minds with a rag-bag of archaic religiose twaddle does nothing to enlighten our ignorance.

Objective analysis Turner , Jack Sep 08, 2006
I came accross a so called mathematical "proof" for the quran. It seems compelling at first glance. However there is no way I can beleive that Islam is a divinely inspired religion. I was wondering if the site/proof could be submitted to Mark Perakh for an objective opinion.

They will soon start to use it to prosetlyze and strengthen the Islamic fundamentelist causes and that doesnt bode well for us.

Thanks
