Can you prove scientifically that there is no designer (God) who made the universe?

If not you might want to spend some of your energy trying to determine if there is a designer, and if there is a designer what does he expects (if anything) from those he designed?

Your arguement concerning AIDS seems pretty weak.

Yes, I am a Christian and Creationist, but I did not start out this way.

Serving the Creator(Who says, "Come let us reason together.")

Dear Mr. Williams:

No, we can't prove it. That is why faith is not science. In science every concept is supposed to be testable and falsifiable, by means of experiment and observation. Can you prove "scientifically" that the world was not created by a bunch of little green men yesterday at 9:23 pm together with our memories about our non-existing past? You can't, just as no other arbitrary conjecture can be "proved scientifically". The burden of proof is upon those who suggest arbitrary ideas rather than on scientists. Science has no means to either prove or disprove the existence of supernatural entities like a god, or many gods, or any other supernatural entities, and does not deal with them.
If you choose to believe in the "creator," it is your business, but it has nothing to do with science, so your question simply makes no sense.

Best wishes.

Talk Reason PS. Regarding your comment about AIDS, we are puzzled as it is unclear what you have in mind -- we cannot recall ever discussing AIDS on this site (although the word AIDS was mentioned, usually in passing, in several posts; mentioning a word does not mean discussing the concept that word denotes), so there was no "arguement" on Talk Reason, either weak or strong, to be mentioned here.
